“THOR” First Images

The first images of Marvel Entertainment‘s feature film adaptation of their popular comic book THOR, has officially been released.  Kenneth Branagh directs Mark Protosevich‘s script and the film is currently in post-production.  In a press release earlier this year, Marvel Entertainment gives a brief synopsis…

“	The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.	”

Starring: Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki,  Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Jamie Alexander as Sif and Anthony Hopkins as Odin.  Thor is set for a May 6, 2011 release.
